SEP is an innovative model created to assist individuals who are developmentally disabled and deaf or hard of hearing to acquire jobs in the competitive workforce and maintain their employment through a series of support services.

What we provide

The Supported Employment Program provides cost-free job placement services to employers throughout the Sacramento area. Staff works closely with a company representative to identify specific workplace needs. This careful matching process ensures that each individual meets or exceeds the company's performance standards for employment.

Communication access is one of the guiding principals of the "I CAN Work" program. We are experienced in working with people who are deaf or hard of hearing, and knowledgeable about the diverse communication needs of this special population.

ADVOCACY
We are committed to advocating for equal rights to education, employment, and public service. Our mission is to eliminate discrimination and promote equal access and opportunities for deaf or hard of hearing individuals, enabling them to become employed, productive and tax-paying individuals of the community.
ELIGIBLITY
Individual must be deaf or hard of hearing, at least 18 years of age, and be a client with both Alta California Regional Center www.altaregional.org and the Department of Rehabilitation www.dor.ca.gov
REFERRAL
The California Department of Rehabilitation.
