Promoting successful employment of individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Our passion is listening to clients ideas, thinking through solutions and coming up with creative ways to simplify employment advocacy.

Program provides the following services

ASSESSMENT
Review work history. Identify current job interests. Determine readiness for job.
EMPLOYMENT PREPARATION AND PLACEMENT
Complete a master job application. Develop a resume Practice job interviews. Conduct a job search. Communication strategies with coworkers and supervisors. Dealing appropriately with other related work issues e.g., attendance, punctuality, work habits and attitudes
ON-THE-JOB ASSISTANCE
Learning and performing job tasks. Using public transportation to and from work. Meeting coworkers and supervisors. Communicating at the employment site. Resolving any work-related issues such as social security benefit changes, work schedule and transportation conflicts, and any other issues that may jeopardize the ability to continue working.
ELIGIBLITY
Deaf and hard of hearing adults. Age 18 or older. Referred by Department of Rehabilitation
